The book page
On Monday 22nd September there was video conference with some schools from Blackpool & Australia (for in the kaizen network) because it’s their book week.
It was really useful for us to be able to talk about our favourite books, some of us even dressed up as our favourite characters!
Why not tell us about your favourite book, author and character.
If we’re really impressed with what you tell us, we might even go and read it ourselves!

Hi kids, nice work on the page
My favourite book to read at the moment is Beyond the Deepwoods. It’s the first book in a Trilogy by Chris Riddell in a series of his books called the Edge Chronicles.
The website is: http://www.stewartandriddell.co.uk/edge/
It’s about a young boy, Twig, who lives in a place where nobody wants to explore, but he just can’t help himself! He gets himself into more trouble than he knows what to do with! Along the way though, he meets some good friends and learns a lot about himself.
If you fancy reading the first chapter, you can find it at
http://www.stewartandriddell.co.uk/edge/book_deepwoods.php
Go to the bottom of the page and there’s a link telling you to click to download the extract.
Hope you get reading soon!

My fave book is Skulduggery Pleasent by Derek Landy.
Its about a young girl called Valkyrie Cain who saves the world with a Skull detective.Agaist the antagnists like vampires and zombies.
The blurb of the 2nd:
‘Valkyrie Cain looked down at her own dead body, cold and unmoving. She kept expecting to see it breathe. But it just lay in the boot,a thing,a corpse with her face….’

My fav book is Invisible City by M.G Harris.
It’s about a boy called Josh who’s dad died in a plane crash in Mexico. He goes searching for clues on how the plane was miles off course. Whilst finding info, he finds out there’s a secret prophecy in his family.
